Ben Myburgh

Ben is a long-time flight sim user with extensive hands-on experience with a wide range of flight simulation hardware and software.

He owns an engineering consulting company and has extensive flight experience. Ben started flying as a junior in high school and went to ATP Flight School to become a CFI, CFII, and MEI.

Ben also started a flight school which he grew to become one of the largest ones in Tennessee. During that time, he was able to attain approximately 3000 flight hours in a wide variety of aircraft, from float planes to business jets. Ben has experience with tailwheel and high-performance aircraft, as well as flying aerobatics and into grass strips.

VR (Virtual Reality) has been a focal point of Ben’s recent work, and one of his recent projects is the flight simulator system for the Red Bull Air Race, which allows the flight controls of an actual aircraft to be used as a USB input with flight simulator programs like X-Plane or MSFS.
