Tampa, Florida (January 25, 2022) — Aero Simulation Inc. (ASI) is pleased to announce it has been awarded a Delivery Order (DO) from Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) to perform technical refreshes and upgrades to two CH-53E training devices at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar, CA with an option to upgrade a third device located at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL) in Trenton, NJ. The focus is to extend the usable life of these devices to ensure they are available until the end of the CH-53E helicopter program in 2030.  This effort is the third DO awarded under ASI’s Training Systems Contract (TSC) IV contract also with NAWCTSD.

ASI has been supporting the U.S. Marine Corps aviation community for over 20 years and the CH-53E training devices for over 15 years, having delivered both new devices and upgrades to existing devices from Marine Corps Base (MCB) Quantico, VA to MCAS Futenma on the island of Okinawa, Japan.

“ASI is proud to have been selected to ensure the CH-53E training devices are providing the very best training available to the USMC until the CH-53K replaces them,” said Mike Conti, President and CEO of ASI. “This is a great follow-on to our successful development and delivery of a new CH-53E Containerized Flight Training Device (CFTD) to MCAS Futenma and upgrade to the CH-53E CFTD in MCAS Kaneohe Bay, HI. The Navy and Marine Corps’ continued confidence in ASI to deliver quality devices and upgrades is a direct reflection of the skill and commitment of our people.”
