Ryan Aerospace HELIMOD Mark III helping companies pave the way at I/ITSEC

If you were at I/ITSEC you may have probably encountered some companies showing their technology partially built with Ryan Aerospace’s products.

One of those cool demonstrations was on display at the Real-Time Innovations' booth but at the Kratos booth as well. What’s so special about this one?

Well, the pilot was at the Real-Time Innovations booth, flying the virtual helicopter through the Ryan Aerospace HELIMOD Mark III virtual reality simulator while the gunner, inside the same virtual helicopter, was at a completely different booth, across the other side of the hall.

This was done wirelessly through a 5G network.

Ryan Aerospace was also on display with the HELIMOD Mark III Plus+ at the CAE booth with a Learning Management System (LMS) and Virtual Instructor.

“This system (to a degree) allows the student to be able to “teach themselves” without tying up instructors and real aircraft. All the data is collected and available for evaluation throughout the student’s career. In this configuration, the two devices can be used independently or linked together (with synchronized controls) for multi-crew training.”

Pretty amazing technology.
